The Great British Sausage Roll Off

We are very proud to have our beers selected by two of Norfolk's prominent chefs as an ingredient in their entries to The Great Sausage Roll Off 2019.

Former winner, Charlie Hodgeson, who's main mission in life is promoting Norfolk as an amazing place to the rest of the UK, has selected 'Wild Towers' to go into his sausage roll, while newcomer, Simon Marsh is using 'Wild Medlar vs.3' as part of his accompanying sauce.

Simon is a well known chef and forager and intends to divert from the norm, using foraged ingredients in place of some of the usual suspects. The Wild Medlar, a collaboration between Wildcraft and Eastgate Larder, uses foraged medlars to create a crossover between beer and cider with a smooth 6.5% beer that gives barley notes to start, a cidery middle and a hoppy ending.

The competition takes place at the Red Lion in Barnes, London on the 30th January and is the 6th year the competition will run. Around 20 chefs turn up to compete in a live cookoff, with the rolls being judged and a winner announced the same day.Last year saw a great lineup of judges; Michelin Chef Philip Howard, Restaurateur Oliver Peyton, Master Patissier Eric Lanlard and presenter Kate Oven.

As well as cooking, the events promotes friendly 'banter'. You can get involved on social media using #rolloff. So, get behind the Norfolk boys and lets hope to come back with a win!

You can follow the progress of the two chefs on twitter, check out @charlieboychef and @SimonHunterMar1

  • I humbly request that you speak with me regarding Recovery Hacker101, a great hacker who assisted me in recovering my money after I fell for a dishonest Crypto Investment scammer. My fiancée broke up with me because I had lost all of my life savings to this ripper, and I was so destitute that I couldn’t even afford to purchase food or pay my rent. After seeing this hacker’s advertisement, I reached out to him at recoveryhacker101@mail.com and gave him the details of my predicament. I thought he was merely a hacker because he said he would assist me get my money back, but Recovery Hacker101 showed me that he could. I was startled when he eventually received my $357,000 USD back from the rippers.
