FAQ
Bag in Box
Bag in box beer is great as it means you have a good 6 weeks to sell 36 pints, all of which should be in tip top condition. Check out the benefits and how to manage the bag if it expands below:
Benefits of 'Bag-in-Box' Beer Systems:
Oxygen Reduction: The design minimizes oxygen exposure, helping to preserve the beer's freshness and flavour.
Convenience: These systems are lightweight, portable, and often more cost-effective than traditional casks, making them suitable for various settings.
Extended Shelf Life: By limiting oxygen ingress, bag-in-box packaging can prolong the beer's shelf life compared to some other dispensing methods.
What to Do If the Bag Expands Due to Gas Buildup:
If the bag begins to expand due to gas buildup, you can release the excess pressure by standing the box with the tap-side facing up and carefully opening the tap to let the gas escape.
This practice helps maintain the beer's quality and prevents potential issues related to over-pressurization.
Regularly checking and managing the pressure ensures that the beer remains in optimal condition for consumption. Be aware that once the box has been disturbed it will need some time to settle again
